ABHINAYA wins 1st place in the Indonesian Thematic Robot Context Region I Year 2024

The Abhinaya team from Yogyakarta State University (UNY) won a glorious victory in the Indonesian Thematic Robot Context (KRTMI) Region I Year 2024 event held by the National Achievement Center of the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology (Puspresnas) at Universitas Muhammadiyah Surakarta and held online through Zoom Meeting.

The Abhinaya UNY team, managed to beat dozens of teams from all universities in Indonesia with their sophisticated robot which carries the theme "Waste Sorting Robot". The robot is designed to move automatically in the collection and sorting of garbage. The types of waste that can be detected by the Robot are leaves, plastic, paper and metal.

The team's success cannot be separated from their hard work and dedication in developing the robot over the past few months. "We are very proud of this achievement. This is the result of hard work, collaboration, and support from all parties at UNY. Next we will fight to win the championship at the National Level," said Ilham Widyo Nugroho as the head of the Abhinaya team. The supervisor of the Abhinaya Team, Prof. Ir. Moh Khairuddin, M.T., Ph.D. also gave appreciation for the team's achievements and asked the team to remain enthusiastic in preparation for the competition at the National Level.

The UNY Abhinaya team consists of 13 students from various majors and supervisor Prof. Ir. Moh Khairuddin, M.T., Ph.D. Team members are:

UNY participated in seven categories in this KRI, namely the Mobo-Evo Team (KRSBI-Beroda), Gareng Punk Team (KRSI), Al-'Adiyaat Team (KRSBI-Humanoid), Maestro-Evo Team (KRAI), Abhinaya Team (KRTMI), Mavis Team (KRBAI) and Rosemery Team (KRSTI) in Region I.
