AL-‘AADIYAAT ROBOT REACHES ACHIEVEMENT IN THE NATIONAL INDONESIAN ROBOT CONTEST 2023

Al-‘Aadiyaat Robot of Yogyakarta State University (UNY) won 3rd place in the National Humanoid Football Robot Contest in 2023, which was held offline. This robot contest is the peak event of the Indonesian Robot Contest held at the University of Semarang on June 21–26, 2023.

The Indonesian Robot Contest is a design and engineering competition in the field of robotics organized by the National Achievement Center (PPN) of the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology.

KRI competed in seven categories, namely the Indonesian ABU Robot Contest (KRAI), the Indonesian SAR Robot Contest (KRSRI), the Indonesian Football Robot Contest (KRSBI) Wheeled, the Indonesian Football Robot Contest (KRSBI) Humanoid, the Indonesian Dance Art Robot Contest (KRSTI), the Indonesian Thematic Robot Contest (KRTMI), and the Indonesian Underwater Robot Contest (KRBAI). In this competition, the Al-'Aadiyaat team participated in the KRSBI Humanoid division.

The team leader of Al-'Aadiyaat said that this year the team made a full effort to prepare for this KRI competition with full effort and enthusiasm from the members so that the team won the championship starting from KRI Region 1, where the team won 1st place and the KRI National team won 3rd place. The preparation of KRI was carried out for approximately one year before the competition, starting with the mental preparation of the members, especially the core team, and the robots, and checking the electronic, mechanical, and program components of the existing Al-'Aadiyaat robots.

“Mental preparation is one of the main things that needs to be prepared before the competition starts. Because mentality can also affect robots when competing, because when mentally unprepared, you will experience panic and not be able to find a solution when the problem occurs.," he explained.

In this KRI National preliminary round, Al-'Aadiyaat entered Group C, namely for the first round, where Al-‘Aadiyaat competed against Aroc-PL from Malang State Polytechnic with a score of 0-0. In the second round, Al-‘Aadiyaat competed with Midun from Padang State Polytechnic with a score of 3-0, and in the quarter-finals, Al-‘Aadiyaat competed with the Eros team from Surabaya State Electronics Polytechnic with a score of 1-0, and in the last one, Al-‘Aadiyaat competed against Ichiro from the Sepuluh Nopember Institute of Technology with a score of 0-1, and in this match, Al-' Aadiyaat's team lost to Ichiro's team, so Al-‘Aadiyaat won 3rd place.

The advisor, Ariadie Chandra Nugraha, ST., MT., admitted that he was proud of the team's achievements this year because it was more than in previous years and hoped that in the future it could achieve even better achievements.

The members of the Al-'Aadiyaat Robot Team are Muhammad Fikri (leader), Retno Rahayu (manager), Desfitra Nur Arifah (manager), and the program team, namely Nur Alif Ilyasa, Muhammad Naufal Nusantoro, Rifky Andigta Al Fathir, Wisnu Putra Wardana, Afif Ilham Syafi Udin, and Kiflan Anugrah Syawal.

Then the mechanics consist of Taufiq Nugroho, Bagus Ari Wibowo, and Habil Aulia Sukma, and the electronics consist of Muhammad Yoga Pangestu, Hudzaifi Adzkar Luthfi, Tsalasanita Nuraeni, Amara Livia Andini Putri, Cikal Ardhiansyah Indra Purnomo, and Hafidh Rasyiq Ramadhani.
