Department of Electronics and Informatics Engineering Education (DPTEI), Faculty of Engineering, Yogyakarta State University Holds Visiting Professor Program

Students of the Department of Electronics and Informatics Engineering Education (DPTEI), Faculty of Engineering, Yogyakarta State University had the opportunity to join the Visiting Professor program on Monday, May 6, 2024. This time, DPTEI Yogyakarta State University hosted a professor in the field of Information Technology, Doctoral Professor Muneeroh Phadung from Yala Rajabat University, Thailand. Professor Phadung was invited to give a guest lecture on the topic: "Generative AI and Computational Thinking."
Professor Phadung's guest lecture opened the students' eyes to the important role of generative artificial intelligence in today's technological evolution. With his in-depth expertise, he outlined the fundamental concepts of how generative AI is able to create unexpected new content, ranging from art to technology, even to complex problem solving in various industries. Not only that, Professor Phadung also invited students to explore the importance of computational thinking in solving real-world problems. In an interactive and inspiring lecture, he guided students through various case studies that highlighted how computational approaches can stimulate creativity and innovation in the face of modern challenges.
This visit program is not just an ordinary guest lecture, but also an important momentum in expanding the network of academic collaboration between UNY and educational institutions abroad. It is hoped that Professor Phadung's presence will be a starting point for more fruitful collaborations in the future, as well as inspire students to pursue excellence in the field of information technology.
