Student Organizations and Student Activity Units of the Faculty of Engineering, Yogyakarta State University were officially inaugurated on Tuesday, February 6, 2024. A total of six student organizations and six UKMFs were officially inaugurated by Prof. Dr. Mutiara Nugraheni, S.TP., M.Si. as the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, Yogyakarta State University. The officially inaugurated organizations consist of BEM, namely HIMA Boga Busana, HIMA Sipil and Planning, HIMA Mesin, HIMA Otomotif, HIMA Elektronika, and HIMA Elektro and UKMF, namely Matriks, KMM, UNY Tech TV, LPMT Fenomena, Carnival and Sports.
The inauguration began at 13.30 WIB in the 3rd floor hall of KPLT Building FT UNY. This activity was attended by the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, Deputy Dean I, Deputy Dean II, Deputy Dean III, Head of Department, Head of Administrative Services, Secretary of Administrative Services, Student Affairs Advisors and of course attended by all members and administrators of each student organization to be inaugurated.
The event began with the opening, then singing the national anthem Indonesia Raya, UNY Hymn, and UNY Faculty of Engineering Hymn. The event continued with the inauguration process by the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering and the signing of the Minutes of Handover of Position.
Dito Herlambang as the Chairman of KPU gave a speech and said “A successful leader is not measured by how many events are held, but a leader who is able to maintain his members from the beginning to the end of his position”. This was justified by the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering also in his speech said that the leader must be able to account for his mandate in the world and in the hereafter, in the world is to keep the members of the organization to survive from the beginning to the end of the position.
