On Thursday, July 27, 2023, a group from the Faculty of Engineering UNM visited the Faculty of Engineering UNY. The visit was attended by Vice Dean 1 of the Faculty of Engineering UNM along with the Head of the Quality Assurance Unit of FT UNM and his staff. This visit aimed to exchange ideas and information about the governance and role of the quality assurance unit at the faculty level, as well as the role of the quality assurance cluster in the department. The main focus of the visit was the role of quality assurance in preparing for accreditation of study programs within the faculty.
Dr. R. Machmud Sugandi, M.T., Vice Dean 1 of the Faculty of Engineering UNM, conveyed the importance of learning how to carry out tasks as quality assurance and support the accreditation of study programs both nationally and internationally. The group hoped to exchange ideas and adopt best practices between UNM and UNY to strengthen the Quality Assurance Unit and Quality Assurance Cluster to support accreditation.
Furthermore, Prof. Dr. Edy Supriyadi, M.Pd., as the Vice Dean for Academic, Student Affairs, and Alumnae Affairs of FT UNY, said that Dr. Umi Rochayati, M.T., chairs quality assurance at FT UNY and has succeeded in delivering accreditation for 18 study programs, including 4 study programs that received international accreditation. He expressed the close relationship between UNM and UNY because they have similarities and often communicate. She invited the UNM group to discuss and share experiences in things that may not be owned by UNY or vice versa. This visit is expected to strengthen the relationship between the two faculties and improve the quality of quality assurance and accreditation of study programs at each university.
