Yogyakarta, 21 December 2023 - In a warm event, the Faculty of Engineering of Yogyakarta State University (FT UNY) organized a collaboration event with Alibaba Cloud Indonesia. The event included the signing of a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) as well as a mini seminar that aims to form a synergy between higher education and the technology industry.
The event was held in the Hall of KPLT building Lt. 3 FT UNY on Thursday, (21/23) attended by representatives from Alibaba Cloud Indonesia, including Eggy Tanuwijaya, Director of Solution Architect, Bayu Irawan, Training Ops Specialist Alibaba Cloud Academy, and Gendhis Kayira, Marketing Manager Alibaba Cloud Indonesia. Also attending the event were the Vice Dean for Research, Cooperation, Information Systems, and Business of FT UNY, Dr. Drs. Totok Heru Tri Maryadi, M.Pd., and all Department Heads in FT UNY. Not to forget, students of the Department of Electronics and Informatics Engineering Education FT UNY also participated in this event.
One of the main objectives of this collaboration is to foster local talents with technological capabilities and entrepreneurial spirit. Some of the key points raised in this event include practical skills development that aims to enable educators and students to develop practical skills in innovative technologies that match the demands in Indonesia and other countries. Not only that, Alibaba Cloud Academy will provide the necessary advice and support in various cloud technologies to support the future development of Yogyakarta State University in innovation, digitalization, green collaboration across the country, and various Smart Education initiatives.
The Vice Dean for Research, Cooperation, Information Systems, and Business of FT UNY, Dr. Drs. Totok Heru Tri Maryadi, M.Pd., in his speech expressed his deep happiness for this collaboration. “Today, we are grateful and happy to be able to organize the signing ceremony of the collaboration between the Faculty of Engineering, Yogyakarta State University and Alibaba Cloud Indonesia. This cooperation is not just a formal agreement, but a commitment to jointly contribute to the development of education and technology in Indonesia.” said Totok Heru Tri Maryadi.
“We are very pleased to be working with the competent and dedicated team from Alibaba Cloud Indonesia. With the experience and knowledge possessed by Alibaba Cloud, we believe this collaboration will have a positive impact in developing the quality of education at FT UNY. We hope that through this collaboration, we can create innovation, develop local talents, and make a real contribution to the progress of Indonesia.” added Totok Heru Tri Maryadi.
This collaboration is expected to not only open doors for FT UNY students to develop themselves in the field of technology, but also create a dynamic and up-to-date learning environment. The spirit of collaboration between FT UNY and Alibaba Cloud Indonesia is expected to be a positive example in bridging the world of education and industry to jointly produce a generation that is ready to face future challenges.
