Vientiane, Laos - Mochammad Zidane Nur Adha, often called Zidane, a 7th semester student of Automotive Engineering Education, recently won the prestigious “ASEAN Youth Eco Champion 2023” award. The award was organized in a prestigious event by The ASEAN Environment Ministers in the Lao capital, Vientiane.
This award is highly anticipated and expected by ASEAN youth, and Zidane Adha was recognized for his outstanding commitment to environmental and sustainability issues.
The award was presented by the Deputy Secretary-General of ASEAN Social Culture, Mr. Ekkaphab Phantovang and the Lao Minister of Environment, Dr. Bounkham Vorachit in a grand ceremony held at the Crowne Plaza Hotel, Vientiane Laos. Ms. Siti Nurbaya, Minister of Environment and Forestry of the Republic of Indonesia, attended the event in conjunction with The ASEAN Ministerial Meeting on Environment to appreciate the achievement.
Zidane Adha has made a tremendous positive impact on the environment since the beginning of his studies. He has been actively involved in a number of environmental initiatives on his campus and in the surrounding community. He is the President of Green Generation Indonesia, an organization engaged in creating an environmentally conscious and cultured generation that has spread across 34 Provinces and 248 Districts / Cities throughout Indonesia.
In addition, Zidane Adha has also contributed to awareness campaigns on the importance of using sustainable transportation and environmentally friendly technology in the automotive sector. He has also inspired his peers to participate in environmental conservation efforts.
The ASEAN Youth Eco Champion 2023 award received by Zidane Adha is not only a recognition of his outstanding dedication, but also an encouragement for the younger generation of ASEAN to care more and contribute to the sustainability of the planet.
Zidane Adha is honored by this award and plans to continue taking an active role in environmental conservation efforts at the national and regional levels. He hopes that his achievement will inspire other young people to play their part in preserving our natural environment.
