The Faculty of Engineering, Yogyakarta State University, received a comparative study visit from the Informatics Education Study Program, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP), Muhammadiyah University of Riau. The visiting group from FKIP UMRI, led by the Dean of FKIP, who was accompanied by administrators of the Informatics Education Study Program FKIP UMRI, was received by the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, Yogyakarta State University, and his staff in the KPLT courtroom, 2nd floor, FT UNY, on Monday, (19/ 06/2023). Also present at the event were the management of the Electronics and Informatics Engineering Education Department, the Secretary of the Informatics Quality Assurance Unit, the Head of the International Affairs & Cooperation Unit Coordinator, the Head of the MBKM Ad Hoc Team, the Faculty Business Unit Team Coordinator, the Faculty Business Unit Team Coordinator, the Faculty Business Unit Team Coordinator FT, as well as the Head and Secretary of FT UNY Administrative Services.
In his speech, the Dean of FKIP, Muhammadiyah University of Riau, Pratama Beni Herlandy, M.Pd, revealed that the purpose and objective of the comparative study visit, apart from establishing friendship and collaboration with the UNY Engineering faculty, also wanted to carry out benchmarking related to the stages carried out by the PTI study program in achieving superior accreditation and international business entity ownership and MBKM governance at FT UNY Dean of the UNY.
Faculty of Engineering, Prof. Herman Dwi Surjono, Ph.D., welcomed the comparative study visit from the Muhammadiyah University of Riau by introducing all levels of leadership and all heads and coordinators within FT UNY who were present at the event. In his speech, Prof. Herman expressed his joy at this comparative study visit, warmly welcomed the delegation from the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP), and hoped that this meeting could strengthen cooperation between the two institutions.
On this occasion, FT UNY and FKIP UMRI established cooperation, which was marked by the signing of a cooperation agreement between the Dean of FT, Prof. Herman Dwi Surjono, Ph.D., and the Dean of FKIP UMRI, Pratama Beni Herlandy, M.Pd. This collaboration includes the implementation of the tri-dharma program for higher education, the development of research, the publishing and publication of scientific works, the development of human resources in each institution of both institutions, the implementation of the independent campus learning program (MBKM) between faculties, and exploring the establishment of joint ventures.
Next, the event agenda continued with the discussions and sharing session between the leaders of FT UNY, who were accompanied by all the administrators of the electronics and informatics department, and all the heads and coordinators who attended the event with the Dean of FKIP UMRI and his staff.
