Singapore, July 28, 2023 - Indonesia is again proud of the brilliant achievements of one of its best young people, Firda Setia Nanda, a student of the Fashion Engineering Education study program at the Faculty of Engineering UNY who won a silver medal in the prestigious event, World Skill Competition-ASEAN (WSC - ASEAN) 2023, which was held in Singapore on July 22 to 26, 2023.
The World Skill Competition-ASEAN (WSC-ASEAN) competition is a prestigious event at the ASEAN region level that brings together the best participants from various countries to compete in various fields of expertise and industry. In this event, Firda Setia Nanda represented Indonesia in the Textile Design discipline competition.
With passion and fine skills, Firda stood out throughout the competition. She demonstrated excellent technical accuracy and creativity in creating a variety of textile motifs from the preliminary stages to the final round. Her achievements in creating innovative works caught the judges' attention, and she received the highest score among the other participants.
Firda Setia Nanda, a student from one of Indonesia's prominent universities, spoke about her struggle to achieve the silver medal. "I am very grateful and happy for this result. The preparation for WSC-ASEAN was not easy, but the support from my family, friends, and lecturers gave me great motivation. Representing Indonesia on the international stage is a great honor and responsibility for me. Hopefully, this achievement can inspire other colleagues to have the courage to compete and pursue their dreams."

Firda Setia Nanda's achievement in the 2023 World Skill Competition-ASEAN (WSC - ASEAN) is proof that Indonesia has talents and abilities that are equal to other countries in the ASEAN region.
