The Co-Giseova team representing Yogyakarta State University at the end of September won a silver medal from the WICE 2023 competition held at MAHSA University, Malaysia. World Invention Competition and Exhibiton (WICE 2023) is an international research competition organized by the Indonesia Young Scientist Association (IYSA) in collaboration with MAHSA University (Malaysia Allied Health Sciences Academy), Malaysia on 21-27 September 2023.
On this occasion there were 5 students and 2 of them were representatives of FT UNY through the CO-Giseova team consisting of the team leader, Asyhari Tahajjud, a student of the Information Technology study program, Sinantia Nur Amanda, a student of the Catering Education study program. Muhammad Naufal Alamin, a student of the Public Administration study program, Indyra Yasmin, a student of the History Science study program, and Novia Ayu Latiefa, a student of the History Education study program, succeeded in making innovations in the form of good and educational game products in helping the brain development process of students aged 9-18 years. The product was named Educative Board Game to Introduce Financial Management (FIMAJ).
This award was won for the Innovative Social Sciences category with the product Educative Board Game to Promote Financial Management (FIMAJ), which is a beautiful innovative educational game to support the development of financial management, developing students' brains. For students aged 9 to 18 years old. This is driven by the trend of school-age children playing video games and lacking interest in learning. To restore their interest in learning, we must motivate them by providing a holistic vision of their future. FIMAJ provides a fun game model so that students can enjoy the learning process without feeling overwhelmed.
The competition was attended by 212 research teams from 20 countries around the world. All teams competed together to showcase innovations in their respective categories and scientific fields. Through the results that have been obtained, the Co-Giseova team hopes to create new collaboration spaces for students to be able to realize their dreams, together making achievements both at the national and international levels.
