UNY's Rosemery Robot wins second place in National KRI

Rosemery Robot won the Champion in the Indonesian Robot Contest (KRI) National Level in 2024 at the Indonesian Dance Robot Contest (KRSTI). KRI is a design and engineering competition in the field of robotics organized by the National Achievement Center (Puspresnas) of the Ministry of Education Culture Research and Technology which competes in seven categories, namely the Indonesian ABU Robot Contest (KRAI), Indonesian SAR Robot Contest (KRSRI), Indonesian Football Robot Contest (KRSBI) Wheeled, Indonesian Football Robot Contest (KRSBI) Humanoid, Indonesian Dance Robot Contest (KRSTI), Indonesian Thematic Robot Contest (KRTMI), and Indonesian Underwater Robot Contest (KRBAI).
Rosemery consists of two beautiful humanoid twin robots that can dance according to this year's KRSTI theme, the Oleg Tamulilingan Dance from Bali. The Oleg Tamulilingan dance was successfully performed dynamically by this pair of robots. Rosemery Team Leader Romi Efendi said that preparations were made starting from the team to the quality and performance of the robot. The Rosemery Team's journey to this stage began with the submission of proposals for prospective KRI teams. Teams that pass the first stage of proposal selection follow the second stage of selection by showing their robot's performance online: sending a performance video or displaying their robot in real time through a video conference.
In the KRI held at Universitas Muhammadiyah Surakarta on July 2-5, 2024, Rosemery qualified for the national level after winning 2nd place in the Regional Indonesian Dance Robot Contest. At the national level, UNY Rosemery Team competed with 19 teams from 19 universities from all over Indonesia. The Rosemery Team's struggle paid off by winning second place. "Efforts will not diminish the results, Alhamdulillah we are very grateful for this achievement, we also thank all parties involved from preparation to implementation of the Indonesian Dance Robot Contest activities" said Romi Efendi.
The Rosemery team consists of 14 active students from various majors with the Chairman Romi Efendi, Angelyn Hermanindya Susanto (Manager), Nurlaila Umi Hasanah, Khofifah Diah Febrianti, Radinka Pangestu Yustiarto (Motion Programmer), Zakif Fatkul Irsad, Nur Afiani Qonina, Fahma Hatitah, Paundrakha Bajra Denta (Hardware Programmer), Arif Putra Effendy (Mechanic), Muchlis Tri Atmaja, Adhitya Ari Yudha, Zahidan Akhmad Nuradheli (Electronics) and Hanik Imtihanah (Artistic).
